Six interconnected frameworks that institutional traders use every session. Each explained simply enough for a beginner to understand on the first read โ and deeply enough that an experienced trader will discover something new. This is the curriculum that builds the top 1%.
Quarterly Theory
AMDR + fractal time map

A store is secretly planning a massive sale (the real move up). But before the sale, they pretend the store is closing down โ posting fake "going out of business" signs to make everyone panic-sell their gift cards for pennies. Once the store has collected all those cheap cards, they announce the real sale and everything rockets.
Q1 = the quiet preparation. Q2 = the fake panic. Q3 = the real sale announcement. Q4 = restocking before the next cycle. This script runs on every timeframe, every single day โ without exception.
Price drifts sideways in a tight range. Bulls and bears are both confused โ by design. Smart money loads positions silently at great prices. Equal highs and equal lows form inside the range โ those are manufactured stop clusters being set up for Q2 to hunt. Your only job: observe and mark the range extremes.
The Judas Swing. If Q3 will be bullish, Q2 drops BELOW the range low โ sweeping SSL, triggering stops, trapping shorts. Retail sees breakdown and shorts it. Smart money absorbs every seller. The candle body then closes back inside the range within 1โ3 candles. That close-back = Q2 ending. NEVER trade Q2. Watch it fail.
The delivery. Strong sustained impulse candles with almost no retracement. The institution delivers price to the planned target. If you identified Q2 correctly, you entered at the Q2/Q3 boundary on the FVG left by the close-back candle. Now hold. Let Q3 run completely to the DOL.
The exhale. Price pulls back 50โ61.8% of Q3 โ NOT a reversal, just the institution taking partial profits. Your job: take profit BEFORE Q4 starts, not during it. Do not re-enter until the next Q1 range forms. Many traders lose their Q3 gains holding through Q4.
AMDR โ Full Bullish Cycle ยท Read Left to Right
The key insight most traders never learn: Quarterly Theory is a fractal. It runs simultaneously at EVERY timeframe. Right now the market is in some Q on the yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, 90-minute, and 5-minute chart โ all at once. Your edge is knowing which Q you are in on your timeframe and using the TF above for bias.
| Timeframe | Q1 Accumulation | Q2 Manipulation | Q3 Distribution | Q4 Retracement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year | Jan โ Mar | Apr โ Jun | Jul โ Sep | Oct โ Dec |
| Month | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 |
| Week | Monday | Tuesday | Wed / Thu | Friday |
| Day (ET) | Asia 20:00โ00:00 | London 02:00โ05:00 | NY 09:30โ12:00 | NY PM 13:00โclose |
| 90-min block | 0โ22 min | 22โ45 min | 45โ68 min | 68โ90 min |
The Golden Rule
Trade Q3 of your timeframe. Use Q3 of the timeframe above as your bias filter. Weekly Q3 bullish + Daily Q2 trapping bears = highest conviction intraday long possible.
๐ Monday
Mark levels only: PDH, PDL, PWH, PWL, prior session highs/lows. Note equal highs and lows inside Monday's range โ those are Q2's sweep targets Tuesday. Low trading, high observation.
๐ญ Tuesday
The Judas Swing day. Bullish week = Tuesday drops below Monday's low (SSL sweep). Bearish week = Tuesday spikes above Monday's high (BSL sweep). Wait for the close-back candle. THEN you have a signal.
๐ Wednesday / Thursday
The real delivery. Enter on Wednesday open FVG after Tuesday's close-back. Let Thursday extend to the weekly DOL. Your two highest probability trading days. Size up on A+ setups.
๐ Friday
Close positions. Do NOT open new trades โ you are in Q4. Friday reversals trap late chasers every week. Exit your Wednesday/Thursday positions and journal the week.
The Tuesday Rule
No clean Q2 Tuesday sweep visible on the chart = no trade for the week. Non-negotiable.
